Correct me if I'm wrong, but Vox's plan makes absolutely no sense.
Considering the fact his ambitions revolve entirely around making it to Heaven and usurping control, he should be all in on the hotel considering it's supposedly the reason sinners are capable of redemption. Why is he spending all his time slandering Charlie and the hotel instead of funding the only potentially viable way for him to attain his goals? He should be pouring all his wealth and resources into researching the concept of redemption, if it's legit, intuiting the mechanics, trying to contact Heaven for any sort of verifiable proof of Pentious being there but instead he's spent the first third of the season running smear campaigns and media psyops against his best asset. Is he stupid?

But from my understanding the only person as of right now who has evidence of Pentious being redeemed is Charlie, and all she knows is from Emily popping in and giving an incredibly rushed and vague summary of what happened up in Heaven with Pentious. So from his and everyone else's perspectives in Hell, redemption is very far fetched at best and nonsensical at worst

He really may be the “next Pentious” in the sense that he is a spy sent there by the Vees, but he could just be doing a better job of it because apparently Charlie assumes he’s just there to satisfy his own scientific curiosity. Even after Cherri knows that he openly works for Voxtec and sells all his discoveries to them, he still hasn’t been called out.

And that’s actually a fun idea. Requires a certain level of cooperation between the two characters. Many of the sinners seem to be backstabbing people who are more concerned with their own personal interests and don’t always work well with others, so that could add potential drama.

I think we sacrifice the confusion of having to deal with Alastor potentially being on the level of some archangel or Eve bullshit and have to figure out how closely Overlords are to one another, because it does make sense to imagine one of the stronger overlords can just MAKE another overlord status wise.
It's just kinda weird what it means for Husk if he was really on a losing streak like he said and Alastor swooped in and STILL only managed to get a deal out of him and not seemingly harsher servitude like the mooks Alastor summons during attacks.

You'd have to just figure out the scaling for overlords instead of having to contend with Alastor being on Eve's level which is a lot less of a headache given he's still getting diffed by Adam and struggling with Vox even with unexpected Niffty assist.

It sort of depends on what his deal is. There’s an end-game, he says helping at the hotel has “not gotten them any closer to” whatever Rosie wants, so it’s not some open-ended request like “protect Charlie”.

My guess is Alastor assumes Charlie will take steps to “rescue” him from Vox. Vox will make a big show of threatening Charlie (he can’t actually hurt her, so he really needs her to believe that he will) which Rosie will notice. Rosie will be afraid that Charlie losing will impact whatever she’s trying to accomplish, so she’ll demand Alastor intervene. But his prisoner contract with Vox will prevent him from disobeying Vox’s instructions, so Rosie will have to lend Charlie her power (meaning, control of all her soul contracts) since Rosie is somehow obviously prevented from fighting (why she needed Alastor to start with). She’ll trust that Charlie will return the souls after, since Charlie is honest and honorable.
