This is what I do when I see a movie with my friend. We saw the first one and I just focused on the easy-outs like hearing the theme as Mario and Donkey Kong ran around or the animation quality. Literally just say the animation quality was great and you'll sound impressed and not really have to strain yourself hyping up something disappointing. This is just like when I got my money back for BASEketball.

Honestly they seem interchangeable so far except that they lean more on the humor of "I may look dainty and composed, but I can solo you and then stand in front of your explosion slightly smug." Like I could easily imagine Peach having a "decent mom" moment with her Toads and telling them a story in the same way she does to the Lumas. They're interchangeable aside from a slight difference in comedy displaying how cool they are. Peach is just... vaguely more hotheaded so you couldn't imagine her building up her composure like Rosalina does getting her wand.

Daisy will probably be equally interchangeable except with a little more energy because tomboy. It's fucking tiring. They really removed the individuality of these girls.

They were still distinct enough despite the sugar-coated family friendly nature of Mario. Peach was very girly and feminine. Daisy was just a plucky happy girl.
