It's got nothing to do with the enunciation, the singing in that song is superb.

The problem is the mix has been consistently bad in different ways for whatever reason. I have good monitor headphones so I can easily make out the vocals but they're 100% too low and muddy in the mix. They're drowned out.

The mix in episode 6 is so egregiously bad that in my headphones it sounds like I only have the vocal track in one ear.

The writing was legitimately so bad it kind of removes my interest in the show. It becomes hard to care about a show when the writers constantly waste narrative potential and take the laziest writing decisions, when every character is carrying the Idiot Ball just to make Vox and Alastor look smarter than everyone else when in reality it just makes them feel underwhelming for outsmarting such dumb characters and it makes the stakes feel pointless.

Vox making Heaven look bad isn't impressive when Heaven was just cartoonishly stupid with the gift baskets thing.

Lute pretty much did nothing this entire season, so what was even the point of Gravity?

The whole Angel Dust twist was literally pulled out of their ass and makes no sense. What is the point of Baxter or Pentious if Vox could just use hypnosis? Why use Angel Dust when he isn't around in every single instance where Charlie reveals something important? She tried to redeem Sinners faster and make her hotel work so she could save people's lives. When that didn't work, she went straight to Heaven to make her case and stop the exterminations entirely. When that didn't work, she planned with Alastor to defend Hell and it ended up working (even if Alastor may or may not have exploited her). Charlie was an actual obstacle that Adam needed to get over and he nearly did. That's what made him feel like an actual threat.

Vox doesn't feel like a threat because Charlie and every other character besides Vox and Alastor are written to be ridiculously dumb and none of her efforts to stop Vox make sense. It's not impressive or threatening if Vox defeats a strawman created by the writers to make Vox look smart.

This season would honestly be more interesting if Charlie actually benefitted from defeating the exorcists. Like maybe the sinners start worshipping her because they were so desperate to be free of the exterminations and Vox's attempts to make her look like a dictator would just make people like her more.

Then maybe it goes to Charlie is hesitant at first but then her anger about Pentious being killed and the way she was treated in Welcome to Heaven comes back, the hero worship goes to her head since she is not used to being taken seriously, and she makes very questionable decisions. Then much much later Pentious is revealed to be redeemed and she is caught in a difficult situation

This would make Charlie an actual challenge to Vox and it would be much more engaging to see him antagonize her
