Given that every year like 60 million people die, and of those majority have to go to Hell to fit the 'Heaven's outnumbered' thing, there's just no way Adam's tiny melee-only force, where only he can do anything but gut street-level sinners, could possibly accomplish much population control. It's a problem, because the exterminations are a fun concept and aesthetically fairly cool, but you need a far greater scale for the army to make it work logistically.

But it's tiny in scale, because it had to be to make sense for the scale of the story in other places.

I did a complete rewatch of S1 and something that never occured to me after watching S1 a second time was "Wait, what is Adam's job? There is absolutely no fucking way his ONLY JOB after failing to watch the Garden of Eden was be the leader of the exorcists he has to like, do other shit right?"

No. I actually think after failing to look after the Garden of Eden, and then right after the Cain and Abel incident right after that, Sera basically said "Adam might actually be the most useless dumb fuck God ever created and he was his FIRST creation." Adam's "job" is to just motivate the exorcists because he is literally bad at everything else that is expected from him so whenever he isnt performing combat drills with the exorcists the other 363 days of the calendar year he's likely fucking, masturbating, playing music and eating junkfood.

See, Viv wants to tell a story about how both Hell and Heaven have massive amounts of nepotism ruining the power structures in both areas because Sera has shown to me that the speaker of God needs to absolutely remove her rank. If Satan took one look at all the dumb bullshit that Stolas was doing with Blitz and since it was a first offense basically stripped him of his rank for "1000 years" then the Speaker of God needs to demote Sera to like "service worker" angel because she does not deserve her spot in the harmonic order anymore. Luzbel was once the greatest angel, the greatest creation, but he thought that he could defeat God, so he was exiled. He choose to stay with demons and shit not because he likes it, but because he cant accept his great imistake. What I hated is the fact that if this was S1, they would have crammed these three Vox episodes we've had in a row down to maybe two. For me I believe Lilith is nothing like how Charlie says and thinks she is, in fact Lilith hates Sinners just as much as Lucifer. Afterall why should she like them, they are the spawn of Adam and her replacement who got to populate earth with their descendants, while she was cursed to not have kids until Charlie was born.
The whole inspiring them to rise up was actually her way of getting the Exterminations to happen, because she wanted to make Lucifer happy by having sinners slaughtered since he couldn't do it himself.

I like the little arc they're doing with the loss of innocence in heaven, with Emily and Abel FINALLY realizing that no, hell is not just going to accept gifts as an apology. My theory is that they're gonna start listening to Lute more, setting her up as a threat
Vox was incredible and his twists with angel really got me, I like how it was foreshadowed during season 1 with Vox looking at angel during poison and the whole "Vox wants a spy on the hotel" shit that was suddenly dropped

One thing I liked is that sinners juxtapose Lucifer with other angels. They think he’s allied with heaven. Which takes me back to pilot era theories of Lucifer leading the exterminations himself behind Charlie’s back.
