My only complaint is that we just kicked Shroud and his army's fucking ass while he's in a mech, but the moment he gets the dog, we suddenly surrender for the big dramatic moment instead of Chase lightspeeding his ass to rescue the dog, and muh prediction powers doesn't mean shit if you can't react fast enough which we see with the delay that Shroud faces every time his mask garbles

If you're moving faster then the bullet, you can just grab it and slow it down in the palm of your hand the same way he doesn't destroy his clothes and shoes when he's running. Meanwhile, both in the previous comic and Ep7's opening, we see that things around him aren't immune to the results of his acceleration so even if he shoved MM2 out of the way of the bullet, he was gonna hurt him pretty bad.

Cutting Coupe is better for the finale. Her battle against Robert and Mandy is kino. The finale with Sonar has nice visuals, but it feels less dramatic. Shroud's augment for Sonar also looks dumb with the exploitable button. I wish Punch Up and Malevola were involved in their confrontation.

It would've been so easy to show Coop / Sonar getting back up from their boss fights to see their respective friends in trouble and help out. Makes the reactions of the Z-team and the decision to forgive them at the end have more weight too.

I'd argue cutting Sonar is better for the finale since I think it's easier to forgive him at the end.
In both the bar scene and finale fight he comes off as a dumbass getting manipulated whereas Coop comes off as legitimately dangerous.
Plus Sonar gets a scar so he and Flambae can join the "disfigured by MechaMan" club.

But both of them do give you the message that cutting one member of the team out just for bad performance was a mistake cause the point of the whole Z-team is to bring this idiots out of the bottom.

So, after replaying the whole thing with both Phenomaman and WB, I can confidently say that is better to choose WB.
Gameplay wise is better to have him join early or he will be underpowered for the final part, and it feels like he has a bit more chemistry with the team and has a better character arc.
