So the show keeps devolving as expected from a writing point so it’s better to just shut your brain off and watch the bright cartoons sing. Sadly, I have become too attached to Vox and his hilariously pathetic behavior. It’s obvious he is kicking rocks by the end of the season but what’s next for him? Will they have the balls to kill him? Lock him away till the plot needs him again? Obviously even if they told Pentious whole story, who he was in hell, how he ended up in hell, and used angel magic so Pentious could speak to the crowd from Heaven, Vox would still spin it as bad. But it would still be something. Some sinners would probably be intrigued. It is objective evidence of a better option rather than the grandiose nonsense Vox is spewing. It's better than just floating there saying nothing and offering weak apologies. And it's the initial reason why Charlke wanted them to come

I dislike how the show depicts the vast majority of sinners as this hive mind blob. Realistically there would be some sinners who would absolutely be interested in Charlie's hotel after she saved all of them. We do still see people in the hotel but it's not focused on as much.

Yeah this has been one of my biggest gripes with season 2. Is there really nobody else whose Vox's message isn't resonating with? Sure, they have valid reasons to be angry, but it's still had to sympathize with them when they're basically reduced to silhouettes with eyes. Someone could've yelled at Sera how their whole family was killed in an extermination, or how they managed to build something resembling a life in Hell before the exterminators destroyed their home.

I think we're supposed to see the Hotel gang as the general embodiment of the Sinners who would do better if given the opportunity, but the problem is none of them are there because they thought redemption was possible. The closest we have is Angel and maybe Cherri. We needed new if only seasonal minor characters to stick by Charlie. Maybe Rooster will stick around for season 3, or he'll be redeemed this season.

I think it would've been significantly more interesting if many sinners ignored Vox's propaganda and started following Charlie's ideology.

Vox smeared the hotel but at the end of the day Charlie and co. risked their lives to save Hell. That objectively happened, even if Charlie said she doesn't want to kill more angels. That's the first time in 7 years someone stopped the exorcists

I also think this could be an opportunity for Charlie's character development. I'm tired of Charlie's only flaws being her naivety and stubbornness. It is clearly very repetitive in S2. Maybe if she gains a cult following from sinners worshipping her for being their savior, the fame goes to her head and she becomes more prideful and arrogant. She is insecure and desperate for approval and maybe being worshipped would bring out the worst in her.

Charlie wasn't even this mad when she learned her girlfriend took part in the genocide of her people or when her Dad laughed at her face at the idea saving her people from genocide when he has the power to stop it.

It's contrived melodrama that the show accepts you to buy because "Charlie is dumb and naive and spiraling" even though naive characters can still have depth and flaws other than being stupid

Charlie's Season 2 character arc was just awful flanderization. She is the protagonist yet the show would rather waste time, with a very short 8 episode season length, on fucking Alastor x Vox fanservice instead of giving Charlie much needed character exploration

After giving it some thought, I think what you're expected to do when watching Hazbin is treat the entire show's overarching plot the same way you'd watch something like Office Space.

You have Sera, who is the head of the HR department, who got her career because of 2 bad incidents involving a male co-worker (Adam) with 2 female employees (Lilith and Eve) and because of how monumental those incidents were they felt Sera was "essential" to her job when right after this she basically did nothing but sit and observe heaven.

Adam (Middle Management) whose job is to look after the worker bees (Exorcist) despite his provenly poor track record. You have Lute, Adam's handler who gives the performance reviews and since Sera is her boss her purpose is to not make the company look bad.

Emily, Peter, Abel (Middle Management) all got their jobs thru nepotism it wasnt what they were good at their jobs were because they knew someone higher up who gave them the job.

Lucifer (Upper Middle Management - different department) 100% a nepotism decision to give a job to someone who doesnt even want it and is basically doing the most half assed job possible actively attempting to get fired
