Dante was the only character I was interested in seeing as a Bayonetta victim. I've never seen anyone say "Fuck yeah! Bayo will kill Morrigan because she stomps!" Why would I want to see Morrigan brutally murdered by her? Much less Sakuya from Touhou. I'm pretty sure that Kamiya and ZUN alike would find it cringe to see a Death Battle between those two. And Arcueid? She's arguably the worst pick, since Nasu is a huge Bayonetta fan. She inspired him to create CCC and multiple characters. Nasu even bought a Wii U to play Bayonetta 2. I'm very familiar with the TM community, and never noticed anyone suggesting Arcueid to fight Bayonetta. It's such a random match up that just a stupid literal who tertiary gaijin would think of.

I've read anons suggesting for her to kill FF's Ultimecia or Lightning in revenge for the Spardas, and maybe it could work, but not really that excited to see that. Geats is just boring, and again, I've never seen Bayonetta fans express interest in him. Probably because all the Reiwa Riders don't have actual staying power, unlike Ichigo, Black, and many Heisei heroes.

But what mostly killed my interest in her return is the state of Death Battle. They still don't have the talent and budget to animate her well. And I'm not talking just about Bayonetta and Jeanne's horrible hair physics in their DMC fights. Death Battle's fight direction is still not good enough. IMO, they could not do even Ryu and Yakumo justice, who have simpler movesets but smooth as hell fighting physics. Death Battle doesn't get how important fluid action choreography is in action games. They are constantly making pauses in the middle of fights, or having characters interrupt their combos for no reason. The latest Death Battle was painful to see with all the instances of characters just standing or collapsing, especially during the end of the fight. The second Raiden fight in particular was also horrible due to that. Stop it with the stupid pauses!

Not to mention that IF they do get tired, it just leaves Yugi with multiple ways to either end the fight or turn the tables on Ash with magic cards that could either brainwash his pokemon, or fuse them with any of his monsters, or hell even sacrifice them to summon Obelisk. The realistic way I can really see this fight going is being a test of endurance and attrition. Ash will have an advantage at FIRST with raw power, but without a way to put Yugi's monsters down for good, it'll only be a matter of time until him and Pikachu get fisted by Obelisk. Scaling to legendaries is cool, but it won't mean shit if it doesn't accomplish anything against monsters that can not be permanently killed. And seeing that Atem didn't even need monster reborn to revive the God trio... yeaaah, you know where this is going.

During the 18th movie, "Hoopa and the Clash of Ages", a massive number of legendaries battle. On one side you have Bound Hoopa, Rayquaza, Latios, and Latias (as well as Ash and Pikachu). On the other side you have Hoopa Unbound, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre, and Kyurem.

So in one scene in this movie all of the bad guys launch their most powerful attacks, but Pikachu, Rayquaza, Latios, and Latias are able to block it. After this Rayquaza, Latios, and Latias mega evolve.

Now this is already a really good feat for Pikachu. However you're probably thinking "But Gecko, there's no possible way of knowing how much Pikachu contributed." Except... there is. See just before this in the movie it took a dragon pulse from Rayquaza, Latios, and Latias to just block Hoopa's dark pulse. For reference, these are the exact same attacks those Pokemon are using in the other scene. So given that the only thing that changes on the good guys's side is that Pikachu is now attacking, there is only one logical conclusion.

I agree that in the context of Yugioh duel rules, any separate "third space" (ie, not where the players are duelling or the monsters come from) would probably be equivalent to being banished and said monsters would be unretrievable.
But DB have already said they aren't using the game mechanics, so it all depends on whether Yugi has stuff that can retrieve them, or they can traverse space or at the very least return to where ever their home dimension is.
