I kinda want to write some "goddess sends an avatar/makes some random girl her avatar and the world descends into a sexy apocalypse" but every time I try it feels like such self-indulgent wankery. How do I defeat the demon in my head and do it?

It was a play on Roko's Basilik, but the being sent to the hellscape were just people who were mean or didn't care about to the love interest. But, I mean she could program herself to be a facsimile of the bully. But why not literally rewrite reality to bring a dead person back to life just for outsized petty revenge? Imagine you're chilling in Heaven and suddenly the world starts glitching and distorting. Because the desire for petty revenge is less important than her desire to have you all for herself, and eliminate all possibilities that you could ever cheat or leave her. If she's EVERYONE, then it doesn't matter if you break up a relationship with her in favor for becoming engaged to a different version of her; at the end of the day, she'll still be your girlfriend. And even if you try to remain aromantic and asexual... Well, she's still the universe you're living in, and you can't exactly leave the universe, can you?

I have this idea for a story in my head that i really want to write, but I am not sure if it's worth it.

Essentially a girl suddenly becomes omnipotent, and explores her abilities, slowly becoming enamoured with her own power, getting more extreme and depraved as things go on. The only thing holding her back is her genuine love for her girlfriend (yes God is a lesbian), who tries to keep her as human as possible.

So yeah, the story would develop along these lines. The classic trope of "that one human I really like" only with omnipotence and a bit of corruption.

I've been working on a story that features an omnipotent girl who gets a regular girlfriend. It's sort of "soft" omnipotence where she can do anything she can think of, but is still not all-knowing. And her relationship with her girlfriend makes her better. I'd be interested to know what people think of it. It's my first *real* story

Idk if anyone cares but I dated a girl in college with a freaking 170 IQ, she passed all our classes together with ease, was taking double the normal workload, and was doing extracurriculars too.
