Both NAI and Local have their strengths and weaknesses, but NAI is pretty insane for what it provides as an online image generator.

Novelai is very worth the sub if you are trying to make different stuff with more specific scenarios and characters from scratch,of course if you just wanna make the classic city landscape and whatnot local can already do that, but it has been the case for so long already.
Also character ref and vibe transfer are goated functions so i do not really get the NovelAI slander gonna be honest.

Maya smirked and popped another into her mouth.

Her stomach was starting to gurgle now—soft and low, like a satisfied animal. The shape of her belly hadn't changed much; the tinies were small, after all. But the weight was different. She could feel them shifting slightly inside her, settling in a slow, squirming mass.
Her free hand drifted down to her navel, rubbing lazy circles as she studied.
“Digest quietly, guys. I’ve got a quiz tomorrow.”

"Thanks, boys," she murmured. "Sweet dreams."

Damn I have to say, local has gotten pretty good huh, I've seen the discussions about NA and local and I do have to chime in a bit, local definitely seems to have access to some stuff, I'm not sure how much that access is limited but from what I've seen on the thread so far, it's pretty good. For what I know, I think that Local isn't any better at this, though. You can still get decent results on NAI without needing inpainting.
