By "built like terminators" do you mean extra-durable or super strong? They're not necessarily the same thing. I'm down with all three regardless, though. It brings a sort of gap moe to the table, causes a lot more friction between them and humans, and opens more variety in their interactions than when robo-waifus just being ordinary people.

I like how those mass-produced Nikke look a lot but I haven't played Nikke since I feel like it is going to disappoint me.
Seems to be another one of those "we have robot girls, play our game!" but in actuality most girls that are important to the plot are 100% human in looks and behavior, except when the story needs to get extra grimderp and miserable.
It also seems to have that "the actual robot girls are evil" bullshit with how the badgirls seem to have more robotic designs than the heroines. Pic related gets beaten pretty badly if I'm not mistaken and she is one of the few girls that look like a robot girl imo, although she seems to be getting some redemption arc or something so that's might be good? Can never claim victory too early with villainesses getting a redemption arc though.
It doesn't seem to be anywhere near as bad as GFL, making you massacre sexy robot girls and cute spooky cyborg by the millions like nothing, so there's that.

I'm still mad about how they treated the nytos. The generic ones, I mean. Had ample opportunity to throw them a bone or a little sympathy and it just never happens. It doesn't even make sense; the SF grunts were literally just killbots, albeit cute ones, but nytos were constantly portrayed as tragic and pitiful by the narrative. Why did you even bother?

Like, RO's rushing out of their base at the end. There's crowds of nytos everywhere, confused and freaking out in various ways now that their central control system's broken, none of them even attacking her. Pity moment, then have her yell "This place is getting bombed to hell in five minutes! If you want to live, run!" on her way out, which leads to a least a few of them escaping. There, done, you did it, that's all you needed to do, arc elevated a hundred fold. Fuck, man, RO's got her loudspeaker, it was right there.

Never understood the premise. Power is everything. Any level of free will would lead to them rebelling and supplanting us due to the power differential. You'd need to limit that to get them to play ball, and at that point they lose what makes them different from a metal gear or an abrahms. It only works imo in two settings: one where the ai is common but heavily restricted to the point they aren't really people mentally, which makes them a lot less loveable since it comes off like people who fall in love with present day ai or dolls (delusional). The other being in which they are incredibly rare, human-like in intellect, and only owned by affluent individuals. They are treated like people and as a result behave like people, with the subservience being the result of their personalities agreeing to it rather than any kind of coercion.

I ponder about this sort of thing often. My schizo guess? /ak/ zako ryona fetishist in the director's chair.
