from experience, eps doesn't work well for hires, at least compared to vpred. I don't use comfy, but I wouldn't do tiled upscaling in any case. you can use tiled vae decoding if you have vram constraints. in terms of settings, you could use 0.3±0.1 denoise strength with an euler sampler

For tiled upscaling? It's been obsolete for more than a year, replaced by mixture of diffusers, which was then replaced by multidiffusion. In Comfy it's a separate node. https://github.com/shiimizu/ComfyUI-TiledDiffusion

All that assumes you need tiled upscaling because you don't have enough vram. There's no reason to use any of them if you can do regular hiresfix.

I know all about the issues, was fighting a black screen issue the first week I had it, had to force mobo to only use PCIe 4.0 instead of using 5.0. I play vidya at 4k though and modern games like Cyberpunk so if I don't want to use DLSS a 5090 is necessary for 60fps 4k with RT

4090 doesn't even hit 40fps average at 4k with rt on and no dlss on CP2077 which is unplayable, the VRAM that comes with 5090 is nice for LLMs too. I upgraded from a rig with a 2060 so for me it's been worth it since I got a whole new pc for pretty much the same price as 5090s seem to be selling individually for now

Most of the 5090 shit is fixed now that torch is supported, at least it is on the portable comfy installs. Had no real issues other than it not as fast as it should be by 10 to 15 percent.
