And I've tried something different than Pony for quite a time now. Illustrious simply doesn't work with the character Lora I use and the one that's compatible isn't available to use on Civitai's online generator, so I try to do the best I can with the few tools I have available, because outside of that I'm kind of boned there.
And as I have said way too many times, buying a new computer just to generate pics isn't neither an option or a priority to me, as I have other hobbies, bills to pay, and I like to have 3 meals a day, so bleh.

There's no point in using controlnet for basic things the model is perfectly capable of on its own. Takes longer to gen, limits you to existing poses, and you're not learning how to use the model better. It makes more sense for difficult compositions.

In trends to disort the natural proportions of the character you are trying to generate just by fit her on the pose.

At some point, controlnet was a necessary evil, because models didn't have much range and it was hard to get some very basic stuff. But nowdays that models can even do hand gestures like fellatio or snapping using controlnet for poses unless is some extremely specific stuff is totally unnecessary and only makes results worse.

The only thing I ever use controlnet nowdays is coloring

Buying a tablet is more or less a meme, you can draw doodles around with your mouse just fine, some programs even have special kind of brushes to help you draw lines with ease and precision (such a sketchbook)

From my experience, if you mask a very small area and keep the whole prompt, it might lack context and put.. idk, a pussy on the inside of the elbow, because the model only sees a "crack" and thinks it's a crotch. You can either try increasing the masked area, reducing denoise or adjust the prompt accordingly. I feel like this happens especially often if you have any weighted tags (like (pussy:1.2) ) that are irrelevant to the inpainted area.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I use MS paint sometimes, you don't need to be an artist. Just approximate the shape (extremely roughly) but more importantly get RID OF anything the AI might think is something else and you'll be fine.

For stuff like eyes, you can get away with leaving the prompt as is, but it's generally good practice to restrict the prompt to what you can see in the inpainted mask and what's in the padded area to avoid hallucinations.

It mainly depends on how high denoise you're using. If you pre-draw stuff then stay around 0.4 you're unlikely to have issues even leaving the whole prompt in. Once you give the AI enough freedom to add things, you should only prompt for the things you want added. Not the whole image.
