What's a good effect to get that bright "glasses flare" thing? Ideally dependent on camera angle.

a) An appropriate additive sphere. You'll need one that's brighter on the edges and darker toward the center, but it should be pretty bright overall, directly proportional to the transparency of the lens texture.
b) AutoLuminous can give you a glare, depending on the above material properties, but it will apply to everything, so you'll need an instance with reduced strength, where the lens is not an AL_object in AL_EmitterRT or has been made to shine (null specular values, reflectivity over 105).
c) A PBR system with high material reflectivity (ClearCoat/Metallic) and texture opacity, preferably still using sphere maps (for Ray-MMD, main_ex_with_sphmap.fx), but it will reflect your skybox, which may not be desirable.

checking quappael's twitter shown me a render he retweet it, said render uses another program called mikumikudayo. seems to be a fork of sorts

thanks, I got it with the SPA, had never really worked with those before...

I decided AL needed too much manual fiddling (with a REF+ morph) in regards to the camera angles...

Also in main_ex_with_sphmap.fx I changed alphaThreshold to 0.5 to make it work with some transparency, and matCapScale to 1.5 to make it a little stronger.

there is not that much halloween content, not in a way where it puts a dent into the regular amount of slop content uploaded every other day

I'm not an iwara user, so I don't have to compete with an endless torrent of slop, only a trickle.

>I'm not an iwara user,
if you make mmd content then not being an iwara user is silly, you are literally ignoring you main target audience which is concentrated heavily on iwara, mmd videos mostly bomb on other rule34 sites, you would be getting way less views and engagement there than on iwara

Have a question about vertex morphs. How do I add additional vertex to a pre-existing morph so that the material selected that I want to add is also affected by said morph?

presumably the question implies "without manually moving all the new vertices in exactly the correct way"
Anonymous No.3016884 [Report] >>3016913
>>3016842
I mean like in the sense of adding the vertices to the morph window like in pic-related.
Anonymous No.3016913 [Report] >>3017057
>>3016884
that's how you do it though, go update in the morph editor and then just move those vertices as well and they'll be in there
Anonymous No.3016916 [Report]
alternatively you can edit the morph as a text file by saving it as csv and reloading after... if you want to like cut&paste or something, although it seems dubious that the vertex IDs would be correct

Has anyone used afdian before? Kinda stuck on getting this model (https://www.aplaybox.com/details/model/DfM1IUdIu0k). Paid the sponsorship, which was dirt cheap at $1, but can't view any content. Just getting unverified creator message...
How do I check what level do I need to access it on aplay? I'm only lvl 2

You probably mean https://extensions.blender.org/add-ons/copyshapekeys/ or https://github.com/MykytaPetrenko/ShapeKeyWrap, which I looked up just this morning. (Half a day ago.) The latter only seemed to work in the Squeezy Pixels mode on 3.1. If your offsets are all identical, you can simply go PMXView > F4 > VAL > specify the value > VAL for your new selection in the morph editor. (Or scale/rotate, whatever you need.)

>>3017092
You're probably meant to post the link before asking that.

PSA: the line/point material setting is actually a PMX 2.1 feature despite saving as a 2.0 model, so if you intend to generate a procedural chain array in Blender from an arrangement created in PMXE using the "rope" primitive as a base, your model will crash Blender if you try to work with its materials, even if you try to extrude the vertices and turn your line into a flat plane beforehand.

>>3018041
Then tell the Murrican government to tell their payment processors to stop virtue signalling because of muh ukriane, lmao.
Anonymous No.3018070 [Report] >>3018074
>>3018068
Good to know but in which circumstances would you even use such a thing? Do you need some special shader to turn the lines into something bigger than 1 pixel?
Anonymous No.3018074 [Report]
>>3018070
I only intended to use it as a base for a smoothened and shrinkwrapped array curve. I previously made 2D texture chains, but I wanted to try fully modeled ones.
Not sure if thickening them with a shader would work. ikFur makes the line disappear—well, it's a capricious effect anyway, couldn't even give proper fur to a smooth bear from 日本の野生動物セット—while GreenerShader works seemingly alright.
