Better in what way? Those kind of remind me of this pair I have. Matsuda makes very good stuff, both in quality and design.

I feel as if sunglasses are one of those items where the markup is high for no reason. Anyone tried the ali caponi/fonex/bobbie glasses store brands? They are advertised as titanium plated or pure titanium, but we all know how it is on ali

i thought firmoo would be chinascam but the two pairs ive bought from them for ridiculously cheap with their coupons turned out to be notably better than ones i've gotten from jins and zoff in japan

their frame selection is quite abundant but more surprisingly their lenses (albeit the upgraded option ones) were far nicer than i expected

Ace & Tate has good classic style glasses, price was okay. I'm pleased with them, I was gonna go with Warby Parker but they don't have anything "plain" and I just wanted subtle.
If you can try them on where ever you end up getting them, that's the best. If not, see if there's a return policy. I got Jay and Curtis from Ace&Tate

Just checked their site and they're not shipping to the USA rn - tariffs. I ordered mine a month or so ago because I thought this might happen lol. I'd just keep an eye out on them opening back up.

why are "nice" glasses so expensive? what makes them nice? i saw masunaga frames worth 800-1,000 dollars and i just don't get how they can be worth that much. literally aliexpress glasses can look similar and you can just toss them when they start to fade, even if you buy 50 to a hundred pairs you won't have to spend as much.

There's definitely a markup, but a good pair of glasses can be worth the price. I'd say the best way to notice this is to see them in person, especially compared to glasses of lesser quality. What stands out to me:
More sturdy, more weight
Intricate designs, especially on the metal
Minimal to no branding

Zenni and Eyebuydirect are good options if you want the same cheap manufactured shit they sell in more "official" venues but at a far more reasonable price.

There are also hand-made artisan frames available on the market, if you want "higher quality". But I've never tried them myself and they seem overhyped most of the time.

>Cubbits
god damn, they prescription to europe as well? should've known this earlier
I bought some covry frames earlier this year but they wouldn't ship with prescription lenses, so I just had those installed by a seperate optician. 125 + 30 shipping + 180 for both lenses (-7,-7.25 + cyl) and I already ended up paying 335 with added hassle on top
I saw that cubbits sells low bridge titanium frames with my prescription included for a total of 390 or something, that's insanely cheap considering my local optometrist would ask 300 euros per fucking glass for my prescription (nikon glasses, like that would make a difference), and that's not even with a frame included

Yes ยฃ250 or โ‚ฌ300, including glazing. The titanium range comes in varied sizing also so you can get a proper fit.
They don't follow the ripoff model of optician shops, middlemen who charge separately for frames, glazing, plus their retail markup.

You will ask what's the catch? Well, they don't do advertising like these "luxury" mall brands.

For a titanium frame? You are out for your mind, 250 is a steal for what you get. In other politicians you would be paying ยฃ500 for a branded titanium frame (with logos, no size options) + ยฃ100 for glazing + another hundred for lens coatings + high street reseller markup for the optician store itself.

And when you have to reglaze the frame in 2 years they'll say its out of warranty and you have to get a new frame, or damage the frame during reglazing to force the decision on you.

Get whatever matches the tone and shade of your hair and skin
eg if you are blonde get the gold, if you are swarthy get the dark grey
for sizes you have to measure yourself and make sure the frame isn't wider than your skull
otherwise, shape is purely about styling and matching your personal style

It's okay that you don't have those side effects, and it's okay that some people do. Your experience may not reflect everyone's. I'm glad things worked out well for you.

No, it's not. Ophthalmologists have zero room for error: If they fuck up, in any way, their patient could suffer permanent eye damage, even blindness, and that'll lead to a crippling malpractice lawsuit.

I agree, and that's why I think it's a good idea to not do LASIK. You seem to be under the assumption that high risk and extreme penalties ensure that mistakes don't happen. This isn't true, and that's okay.

Nike glasses
Nike glasses
md5: c8371f06a504b75996dc0e78c2d61521๐Ÿ”
Really hope someone is able to help me out here. In 2014 I had a pair of Nike eyeglasses that I lost when I graduated college. They were similar to pic related but had a small orange and white strip near the elbow of the glasses. I've tried hard to find them online but no luck...any good websites that have old catalogs, promo material, etc.?

Also, if I were to find these glasses, would I just take them to my optometrist's office and tell them to fit lenses in there with my prescription?

Silhouette for sure, and I think the model is called "Dynamic Dawn"
It avoids the incel coding by being a bit more round than oblong, not afraid, just don't like that on myself personally and would not recommend on anyone else either
