Impulse bought this mini toolbox at HF, trying it as an EDC organizer thing. Will probably end up just using it for knife storage etc. though. The Shield Plus is also new, hence the lack of holster wear, just got it as a summer clothes alternative to the G19 I've had for years.

I like it, its heavy as shit but that helps with recoil, under fire its a dream, its almost like theres no recoil you recover your sight pic so fast, short reset, medium trigger pull, which I like
For the downsides, its heavy, like I said, and its not optics ready, but other than those two things I cant rly say anything else bad about it, super reliable and very fun to shoot

An ironic thing about the US is that the more likely you are to need a gun, the less likely you are to be able to legally carry it. I'm in an extremely safe area but still do it just because I can and you never know what kind of random shit might happen.
As for knives, that's just a utility tool, and unironically more necessary in the US than other places - I've noticed when traveling internationally that packaging in other places is always easy to open with your bare hands while half the shit you buy here in the US requires some kind of cutting implement. (Even when it shouldn't, i.e. the built in perforations don't work the way they're supposed to or a pull tab just tears off instead of opening the wrapping etc. and you end up having to cut the thing open.)

I used to live 15 minutes from Downtown LA and still had deer and other animals come through my yard pretty regularly. It happens if you're within animal walking distance of any large park or undeveloped area. Now I live next to a golf course, about a mile from the edge of a 100k person city, and so many deer come past my house that I'd never need to buy meat again if I were allowed to shoot them.
