It's a major red flag when I see someone using a cane...but also carrying a giant heavy backpack/tote etc. Like, you can carry all that shit but still need a cane for stability? These people are the exact reason I have insecurities about using a cane in public as a younger person. I don't want to be lumped in with their meanspirited insanity (literally all of them are mean and unnecessarily defensive if you ask about their cane). The best ways I've some up with so far to differentiate from them is
