Well I have an office. How do I start dressing like this though? And what do I wear if it's raining or snowing? This is going to be fucking expensive isn't it

If you want to know how we actually dress in finance, it’s dress trousers and dress shirt but usual sans tie and a fleece vest or pull-over if it’s cold. That has been the standard banker uniform for years now. And for footwear everyone just wears loafers, those hideous sneaker shoes, or they’re some jeet that doesn’t get it and wears the most god awful shit imaginable.

I remember when I first got my internship, I showed up in a full suit and dress shoes. I got told to lighten up and come back in loafers but I was poor so I ended up wearing a pair of driving mocs I had in the back of my closet and got bullied for it lol.

Full suits will be at least a few hundred piece unless they’re total garbage and a few thousand a piece if they’re good. Dress clothes in general aren’t that expensive if you buy genetics from Nordstrom or whatever.

That's just the leather sole. Look up hybrid soles as it puts some rubber on the heel which will stop the click clack.

Not he's not. And the fact that you think he is indicates you shouldn't be using this website and that Reddit might be more to your taste.

You can get a pair without an all leather sole or take the leather and scuff it and soften it up. When I bought new loafers I used to literally scuff them up with a cheese grater. Really common loafers in finance are Allen Edmonds and Alden and once you make more money Ferragamo and Gucci btw.

Buy a navy blazer, gray dress trousers, black tassle loafers. Wear light blue, white, or blue and white striped dress shirts. For outerwear, if it's snowing, wear a navy topcoat, and if its raining, wear a tan or stone poplin raincoat. Make sure your overcoats reach below your knees. Wear dark foulard ties. Buy worsted or flannel suits in navy, charcoal, mid gray.
