Graphic tees are fine if they have the right graphics. Band tees, retro tees, and ironic tees are in right now. Collegiate tees are always in if it’s your Alma Mater. Athletic shorts are fine if you’re fit, athletic shorts or chino shorts are fine if it’s very hot. Shorts should otherwise probably be avoided. Sneakers are like tees. You’ve got to get classic or trendy ones. Again, the younger and/or fitter you are the more you can pull off athletic pieces. Backpacks aren’t great unless you’re hiking. Get a banker bag and smaller bags and cases for stuff like laptop, headphones, dopp kit, etc. Barring a banker bag, just get a weekender or a duffel.
