As for the male equivalent, there isn't a true equivalent, but I guess the closest is a nice pair of shorts that go a few inches above the knee that fit you well.
Anything involving pants would be too formal compared to sundresses. And cargo shorts or jorts or whatever don't look nice. So just some above the knee shorts that look nice.
