just get a wool baseball cap. it's what they were originally made of before sports uniforms cheapened. i find them warm enough in the winter up north, you can also get wool ones with fold down ear-muffs (usually marketed towards hunters.)
they breathe well too, i find they feel the same as wearing a cotton twill hat up until over 90*f.

a) long term relationships - any woman will know and they will instantly lose respect for you
