So I’ve hit unc status and I need to dress like I’m not still in high school/university. I’m thinking about wearing more collared shirts both short sleeves and long sleeves. Aside from pique polos, how do I pull off button shirts without looking like a 50 year old dad? I’m 30 btw

33 year old here, I wear button-ups all the time. If you ask me, they're an excellent look regardless.

I don't really know what you mean by "look like a 50 year old dad"

Just like that. Personally I like long sleeves and roll them up.

No one who wears button ups all the time looks good in button ups. Feel free to prove me wrong.

>how do I pull off
1. Look healthy and strong
2. That's it
Even being a 50 year old dad isn't bad as long as you don't look like shit. Men age well. If you look good, all you have to do is try different shirts and outfits to figure out which ones work the best with your features. If you look like shit, time to start taking care of yourself.

That's the right answer. I go with Linen-Shirts for a more laid back approach.

if you want to wear a short sleeve button front do NOT buy a spread collar or button down collar.
band collars like your pic and camp collars are the best choice.

very true "the science" shows that most men peak in sexual market value in their 30s-40s and don't fall off until their 60s. and you can have viable offspring without chance of health risks that old as long as the mother is young. my parents have a 30 year age gap.
which makes total sense when your realize female attraction is different and women are heavily attracted to wealth and status. looks too but the ideal man has all 3.
very few young men in their teens or 20s have wealth other than nepo babies and that still is a void of status.

I'm 39 and this is basically 90% of the people I know in my age range, just replace the band shirts with vidya, weeb, sports, or car/motorcycle shirts for some of them. I kinda got pushed into dressing "nicer" by the GF I was with through most of my 20s and have never felt right without a button-up on since then, and nowadays I've gone pretty minimal fucks given about it, I go full dad with my shirts especially when I'm just bumming around and not trying to impress anybody.

On that note, just picked these up today. Probably not what OP is looking for but as an almost 40 fat guy living in an outdoorsy PNW town they work.

People have been saying unc for decades retard. Just because wigger zoomers picked up a word in the last couple years doesn’t mean it’s zoomer speak
