I really hate this trend of high gorge lapels. I say this as someone who bought a high gorge suit recently. To answer your question, usually the only alteration necessary on a jacket is having the sleeves taken up. This is a scam for retards though, and the jackets are ridiculously overpriced. The materials and labour aren't worth half that much. Just an example of a brand pretending they're exclusive by jacking up the prices. Good for people like Andrew Tate who don't know what a good suit is, but have a lot of disposable cash and can afford to blow that much on clothes they think are status symbols. Meanwhile you can buy the same jackets King Charles wears for less than 500 euro each.

Yes. When it comes to a lot of luxury brands, you are literally just paying for either name or exclusivity via price. I'm sure it's decently made, but not in a way that would be worth that much like getting a low-middle end bespoke jacket or high quality made-to-meaure. Certainly doubtful of the materials truly being the reason for the high prices, just an excuse for them.
