Topical min does not work in 1/3 of men because they lack the required enzymes in their scalp, all men have this enzyme in their liver so the oral route is a good fallback.
The FDA formulation for 5% liquid minoxidil is food safe (vape juice, ethanol and water) and can be safely taken orally if oral min tabs are expensive or rarely prescribed where you live. As a general rule, ~4 drops (0.1ml) = 5mg minoxidil.
There's a 1-2% risk of fluid retention with higher oral dosages, start with the lowest dosage possible and work your way up when you're sure it's well tolerated.

Do not use spirolactone. Spirolactone is a diuretic which, in large doses, inhibits testosterone and, by extension, DHT.
It is regularly prescribed as an anti-androgen for male to female HRT, and thus, comes with an astronomically higher risk of sexual side effects in men including ED, gynecomastia, and can cause potassium toxicity.

it sounds like you may have alopecia areata not androgenic alopecia anon. your hair loss may not be hormonal. you're not supposed to take dut or fin for that and it wouldn't surprise me you have no results. if you have aa you use minox and go to a derma and get corticosteroids and focus on improving your immune health. they have some new meds for it too. longer term fasting is amazing for immune health read about it if that's your diagnosis.
go to a dermatologist and get a proper diagnosis. if you already did i'd urge a second opinion it is a common misdiagnosis. you could also have both which makes it harder to diagnose and leaves more room for error (very common with aa patients.)

telogen effluvium is usually overall/large area diffuse thinning, alopecia areata is usually patches, male pattern usually happens in a norwood pattern. this graphic's for women but it illustrates it well, men can get te and aa too.
dermatologist can tell with a biopsy. if you already have a derma and they just looked at it go back and ask for a scalp biopsy or 2nd look tell them your situation. get an independent 2nd opinion if you don't get anywhere doing that.
te is usually stress induced and often eventually goes away on its own but not always. aa doesn't have a known cause yet.

both of them are temporary hair loss and do usually eventually fix themselves once you address whatever underlying issue is triggering it, or on their own with enough time. sometimes they don't and you're stuck with it forever managing symptoms. either way they don't kill the follicle unless you kill it another way while it's dormant.
they can accelerate losing hair in the regions affected by androgenetic alopecia, but if you're managing that with meds it should be fine.
this is why imo the people who shotgun approach it seem to get the best results more often.

Diffuse thinner here, it looks like mine did. I am on fin and have been for 3ish months and my hair volume is basically back to normal so I can confirm it works for cases like this. However, I think the relatively short time it took to recover is also due to the fact I've been on propidren, which is like budget organic fin, for several years and it didn't really stop it but I think it slowed the process and reduced my overall DHT count which contributed to how fast the finasteride worked.

Assuming you're on fin, if you're diffuse thinning even on the sides and back, yes it's likely telogen effluvium caused by stress. Usually takes about 3 months after the start of the stress to start shedding, and likewise a few months after the stress ends to stop shedding. It'll grow back.

If you were getting regrowth from fin at the same time as using min it should in theory come back thicker than baseline after the min gains are shed. There is basically no data available supporting this and is just my own theory however you definitely can't permanently lose hair that wasn't there prior to min. Worst case you will return to baseline.

You would only initially shed miniaturized hairs as your hair growth cycle becomes synchronized. Healthy terminal hairs are already on the correct cycle and thus it is only the miniaturized ones which need to catch up. You are looking at upwards of 6 months for this process to initially yield results as the shed hair can takes months to grow enough to be apparent. This is logically enough time in more rapid cases of balding for those hairs to be strangled further by DHT and appear to be "lost" when in reality they would have shed and grown in thinner regardless of minoxidil on their next natural shed or hair life cycle. Been on finasteride for 5 months now and its bizarre. Imagine two heads of hair. One is shoulder-length but the crown is all but completely bald, with scraggly remnants of a full head hanging down. Really nasty. Now imagine a completely full head of short, fluffy hair. Now imagine both of these occupy the same scalp. That's me right now. The shed is real but so is the regrowth. i shed from telogen 2 years ago. instead of waiting for natural recovery i wanted to speed it up with minox. well overtime that makes even healthy follicles dependent on it, and they will shed if you stop despite not being affected by androgens.
after the traumatic event, i started shedding even on minox because that's how telogen works. being on anything wont save you from a direct event, it will just help the recovery. at this time i realized how badly oral minox was fucking with my cardiovascular health so i dropped it. its only been 3-4 months since shedding started and theres no recovery yet, but the shedding has significantly slowed down.
