My mum bought me this watch for about $60 Australian Dollars when I was around 15 years old in high school in I think 2016. I went to get the battery replaced around a week ago and the bloke told me that it has “slow movement” or I should just about go to a watchmaker. It also glows in the dark.
I don’t know what features, specifications or thereabouts I should be concerned about or keep an eye out for. It also had a rotating thing that you could spin around to remember times. I’d appreciate any advice about or around watches, so please do tell. The watch was also submerged in water from time to time: either when I forgot to take it off at the beach or in the shower.

Oh, yeah, and no symbols instead of numbers and no Roman Numerals; I like to wear my watch upside down so I can learn to read upside down better.

Ask a watch repair guy to swap out the quartz movement for a new one, that fits that case, dial and hands.

Mioyta quartz movements are good, made in japan and should not be much over 25€ (for parts).

Swiss made movements are even better but more expensive, of course

>All of this is assuming you love that watch and want to keep it in good working order. Otherwise, look into casio, seiko, citizen for entry level watches around from 10-200 (and there are older models).

>Also, that rotating thing is called a bezel, it's common in the diver genre of watch looks, which that one is a part of.

If you want to go cheap, you could probably get something from Casio's MRW200H line. Didn't even know they made it with a stainless band version until replying to your post, doesn't look too bad honestly.
