My personal reason is that I can't grow a decent beard, it looks professional/employable to shave, it's a good way to exfoliate the face, it shows the jawline instead of hiding it.

no
having a beard where the hair is just long enough to be "soft" but short enough to not really have a beard is peak
the darkness that the beard gives the face helps to frame your other features while still showing the chin/jawline underneath

my hair grows insanly fast so if i want to maintain that "smooth" feeling i have to shave twice a day but that creates irritation
and a 1-2 growth is so fucking prickly
so maintaining a 3-4 day growth(depending on hair growing speed + hair follicle density) is the best option.
