There’s been studies on this and they suggested that while being short is a big advantage it can be mostly made up for by being muscular and lean. Women rated short men with appealing bodies almost as highly as tall men with appealing bodies and higher than tall men without appealing bodies.

The 5'0 to 5'4 range is a death sentence. 5'6,5 - 5'7 is about as short as you can be and still live a normal life as just a short guy, versus comically short and all of the ridicule that comes with that.

This. Women are taller than 5'5. My sisters are 6' and 5'10, wife is 5'8, mom is 5'9, mother in law is 5'10. I'm 6'2 and short in my family. One of my neices is 6'4.
