There's no point in going on the date with this girl. Not only is she already stating the guy's height will be a problem, she's also insinuating he's a liar, too. And they haven't even met yet.
Bail.

Make an impression or be ghosted. If the date person is a serious and appreciates fancy dressing then that is exactly what you should do but make sure the context is appropriate.

unless the date is explicitly rustic like a picnic or hike or something you pretty much can't lose from dressing up. even if the girl dresses down women still have to put a in a massive amount of work before a date. hair, nails, makeup, etc. so they pretty much always appreciate if the guy dresses up.

I last used apps in 2020 Jesus Christ its gotta be an absolute shitshow now. This isn't close to the weirdest exchange I've seen but the dynamic is increasingly bizarre. You write like a children's show protagonist and she is ran through enough to not even be coy about assuming random men are liars.

I've never used them. Subsequently havent gone on a date in as long. Decided to go old school one Saturday night last month. Two places I went were completely dead, half dozen people there at best. It's pretty grim out there, I have no idea how Gens Z and A don't neck themselves.

you should wear some boots that give you 4 inches in height and mog her call her a liar and then leave as soon as you meet

I usually wear some kind of button down shirt, jeans, and service boots. Which button down shirt and jeans depends on the context though, and obviously I’ll wear a jacket or a sweater if it’s cold. Last date I went on I wore a Barbour button down, black jeans, and black service boots.

I don’t disagree with you but I don’t know there’s any good way to make that impression with how you dress. I firmly believe that all women want a good looking rogue. How the average guy can lean into that with his clothes I have no idea. I think you just have to be that. You can’t dress the part and fake it.

Dress casual.
Button down shirt with rolled up sleeves, nice pair of jeans with oxford boots. Pick out a seasonal appropriate designer fragrance that is popular with women, not something loud. Do not wear a digital or smartwatch.

You should wear something venue appropriate, but relatively high effort.
Even if it's casual, it should still be well put together

To be fair, banter is what you have with friends. A girl should be impressed with you or at least have respect for you. This disrespectful, so early? Not a good sign.

Banter is fun and funny. This conversation is neither.

It's bad banter from both of them because it's dry as fuck.
I feel like you should almost always start with "yes, and" rather than no just for flow. There's a dozen ways he could have taken it from:
>hey, as long as you're snow white I'm happy
to
>It's never upset me before to draw the short straw
to
>one of a million other dick jokes
depending on how the conversation is going
Equally, she could have responded with something more like:
>alright, but I'd better be the only one in stilettos
Rather than them ping ponging:
>ummm, technically that's wrong because it's actually 2 inches instead of 3 and men are statistically known to lie about this, actually.

The point is wear something appropriate with a dress casual outfit.
Use common sense.
