I probably won't be hopping on this trend, but I kinda love the way it levels the playing field.

My Uncle is a 50 year old virgin (literally) who doesn't dress like a slob by any means, but has never been 'fashionable'. He showed up to a recent family function wearing those exact shoes.

I told him he did good, and explained that Salomon is having a moment right now. He had no idea, just grabbed 'em cuz he needed a new pair of comfortable shoes.
