what is it about long haired men that does this generally?
if it's trendy, "Chad" can get away with growing out his hair because once the trend is gone, his hair only grew to the length of that guy from Nickleback, then they go back to a normie cut.
But guys who tend to just have their hair longer regardless of trends attract overly projective art hoes and ham planets.

Like with everything else, some do, some don't. If you're doing what you feel like you'll attract the right kind of women.

That said, almost all women have a sort of helpless instinctual response if you let your hair down, and if your hair is healthy. You'll see it. They'll pause and usually say something lol.

This. When I had long hair, all I got were obese trauma victims and frumpy kike women. At best, an older mom who missed the 80s. Get a haircut that suits your face, not one part of a subculture.

i am almost exclusively attracted to long haired men, but after many years of reflection, I've concluded that it's only really physically attractive under these circumstances:
- The man has an otherwise attractive face, and is bodily in shape. (of course, whatever his level of attractiveness, there will be a slight increase as a result of being combined with long hair)
- his facial hair has to suit his face for long hair to look good. Most of the time, clean shaven is far superior, and full beard tends to be messy looking, but there are certainly exceptions. If you Odinmaxx, for instance
- It must be kept clean and brushed. Hair and facial hair (if applicable) can't look dirty and scraggly, but also not excessively neat(incredibly gay, and not in the good way).
- he must be an interesting and unusual sort of person in some way, or it simply doesn't align with expectation, which is just disappointing.
- the above point also being reflected in his choice of dress.

bonus point:
THE LONGER THE BETTER. seriously long hair on men is much too rare to see. Deeply saddening.

I usually don’t find it attractive on men because it reminds me of hippies, but maybe it could work better if it was an agreeable length with layers. Despite that, the idea of brushing or braiding a man’s long hair sounds nice.
