Yes, if people start punishing producers/distributors of cheap plastic clothing by not buying them and run them into the ground. They could also stop buying into trends and tossing perfectly good clothes into the trash just because they need another dopamine hit. I wear some of my thrift finds for more than three years before they either no longer fit, tear or fade, and I am a man with a much larger wardrobe than average.

I think in the future fast fashion and mass production will be mostly outmoded by AI and automation affording everybody the ability to have garments made to their measurements for affordable prices

Especially plastic blended into natural fabrics. That's the most degenerate kind. You can't recycle it nor decompose it properly in a landfill. Filthy corporations mixing plastic with natural fibers to cut costs and sell them at an even higher price in the name of selling "high tech" slop.
