Grew my curly hair out, and my hair tends to be dry and get frizzy. I go to an expensive lady salon, and she floated the idea of a keratin treatment. Already tried washing hair more and using conditioner and so forth. I still want my hair wavy / curyly, it's just I'd like it to get a bit less wild, to stick together a bit more. Will the formaldehyde kill me?

do a porosity test before you start throwing products at it, especially if you've found that moisturizing products don't really work on you. if you have low porosity hair there's a whole different meta to hair products, plebbit has a board dedicated to it with a lot of good info.
>conditioner
try a leave in after.

a keratin treatment will make it straight and drier long term. it will damage whatever hair it is applied to and can only be removed by cutting the hair off.

That's the thing: my hair lady did recommend oribe, and I've been using some. One is a "cleansing creme" that you wash with and rinse out, another is a deep conditioning masque or something. It seems to me that these things...I dunno, they make my hair greasy? Maybe I'm not washing it out well enough. And despite it all, I still get frizz. I dunno, it's just been really difficult. Also that pic isn't me

>washing more
You should wash it less than straight hair.
>wash
>brush straight
>add moose
>curl with your fingers
>set the shape
>dry with a defuser
>crunch the rings by hand
after the first day, reset with a good sweat and some sea salt
