I'm going to go to college soon, and I want to become a normie with friends and an IRL social life. The issue is, I have few experiences socializing and will be learning all of the rules on the spot, meaning I will inevitably make a lot of blunders. My biggest fear right now is that someone will take a picture of me (an uncanny-acting autistic man) doing something retarded and upload it online.
To escape this, I've been considering perhaps wearing a mask of some sort that'd prevent me from being easily identifiable in public. It would really make me feel less afraid of interacting with new people, and it would allow me to wear shirts that people would find cringe without fear of it haunting me in the future.
What sort of mask could I wear? I understand that I would probably call more attention to myself with something too flashy or even with a traditional coof mask (since it reads as something a Reddit conspiracy theorist would wear), so I don't want to wear one of those. My #1 choice right now is probably the niggerish "sheisty" mask (picrel) because it's the most normal-seeming, but I'm white and it makes me run the risk of looking like I'm trying to larp as a revolutionary. I can't think of any popular religions that make men wear face coverings, either, albeit I could probably say it's for vague "religious reasons" and people probably wouldn't inquire further. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do?
>inb4 your fear of being captured is irrational
I've seen people get publicly ridiculed for less. I can't conceive of a situation where I would feel comfortable being even a little bit "myself" in a setting with mostly-strangers if I was to show my bare face, and I want to make genuine connections.

I certainly hope this is a troll post.
In the off chance it's not, know that your attempts at not being recognizable will make you look uncanny and autistic.
Just avoid voicing your controversial opinions for starters and you'll pass for an average american.
>but I have social anxiety
Exposure therapy works, literally take a walk and interact with people every so often and it will become more comfortable.

Just combine the covid mask with a trump hat and then nobody can judge you

>want to become normie and make friends
>plan to do this by being as autistic as humanly possible
Please do not do this you massive retard. The fact that you are even considering this means you're already in the danger zone, but if you do this you will never live it down. Just try to act normal - if in doubt, don't say whatever weird shit is tempting you and you'll eventually figure out where the line is. Also - just learn to accept that you will make social mistakes sometimes. It happens to everyone.

On a side note, I think you might be mildly schizo and should get tested if you haven't already.

You could also consider facepaint as his disguise instead of a mask. Nobody knows the actor who played darth maul for example. This would be more socially acceptable than wearing a mask. Girls wear makeup all the time. Plus you have rockstars like kiss or the guy in limp bizkit that nobody even knew what they looked like.

Are you after the normie part, or the friends and IRL social life? Because on most college campuses fursuiting is about the only "conventional" way to directly answer your unconventional self-inflicted conundrum.
If the former is mandatory then tough luck, >>18492369 is right.

1. A mask is 100% attacting attention and maybe even getting you filmed
2. If you're weird and unsocialized and fear attracting attention then wearing unconventional fashion is a bad move. Just wear the same kinds of things normies are wearing, at least until you've got the social skills and confidence to pull off other stuff.
