What size shirt do I need to buy the relaxed baggy fit? I’m 5’11 and skinny but so far Large and XL just make me look fat. I have broad shoulders.

you could go to your local thrift store (big variety) with a tailor's tape, try stuff on, then fully measure the ones you like in the dressing room. and take those measurements as a guideline for shopping online.
don't go as much off the tag/letter size, they vary depending on the target demographic of the brand.

I feel like vintage 90’s tees have a longer sleeve length. I’ll try rummaging around at my locals thrifts some more. Like everything else being over 6’ probably helps so much. I end up looking like a fat ass troll with L and XL so far.
