Why the FUCK can I not find clothes that fit like this. Do you know how many fucking pants and shirts i've bought? Each one somehow falling flat in just this extremely simple fit. Go ahead tell me what brands I should be buying to achieve this. I'll tell you if I've tried them. I have 0 price limit. I'm not a fatso either.

You can't find a pale blue university stripe Oxford shirt and 2-3 pleat chinos? Highly doubt that.

Oxford looks classically cut, but the model is thin, so maybe on the slightly slimmer side. Regardless, you should be buying oxfords from Drake’s or Mercer. Trousers are generic straight fit slight taper double pleats, probably basic chino fabric. Drake’s again, The Armoury, O’Connell’s or J. Press (latter two may need a taper added by your tailor).

>Drakes
Doesn't have pleated chinos
>The Armoury
Not even close to my size, i wear a 29 waist
>J press
Lowest is 30, still not my size

I've tried bringing in the waist in a few pants through several tailors and it tends not to work for various reasons.

Haven't tried these shirts though. So i'll give it a go thanks.

The clothes they make nowadays cater so much to fatfucks that pretty much anyone who isn't shaped like a bowling ball will need a tailor. You are not special. Not anymore.

quality of the tailoring and fabric. you're looking at vintage photos then shopping budget or trendy brands that are just meant to crudely imitate the look and look 'good enough' in a product photo.

>>18508493
if you have a low waist size just go vintage.

Ironing the pants and folding them the proper way when storing. You don't fold pleated pants like jeans by folding it into half vertically. You first collapse them along the pleats, like an accordion, so that you maintain the pleat crease that runs along the length of the legs.

This, it's so fucking frustrating. A 33 regular is still compressing my legs, I'd probably need to go two sizes up and considerably take in the waist to make it work. It's all cut for fat guys with chicken legs now

berg & berg sale right now. they're a good value on sale and overpriced at full.
the brands on that list that are designed by an actual tailor like bryceland's are going to look the best imo. a designer who's done real tailoring on thousands of people will know how to make better rtw patterns every time. never tried their pants personally but killer casual shirts.
the step up from the list he posted is going bespoke. the british traveling tailors have similar quality to the italians and french for a good deal cheaper and less of a wait list. yes they come to major usa cities regularly. you might have to road trip a little.

half of my wardrobe is vintage for the same reason the fit is just way better almost every time. being a low waist size its easy to find stuff and it tends to go cheaper because there's less other guys buying it.
if i lived somewhere like yurop or northeast with real tailors i'd probably do the same as you.

The honest truth is if you want clothes to fit properly and have all the features you are looking for, go to the tailor and have him make it for you
You will never find the right fit when everything is mass produced
