Yes. There are aromatic tobaccos with added flavorings like chocolate, cherry, vanilla, citrus, whiskey, amaretto and more.
Non-flavored (English) tobacco still has peculiar taste based on the blend. Virginia tastes mildly sweet with hay or "green" (think the white core of a broken bush branch) if it's golden, kind of like cigarettes but several orders more refined. Darker virginias taste the same except more intense and smokier. Orientals taste like smoked meat and cumin. Burley tastes like roasted nuts. Black Cavendish (actually Burley that's smoked and covered in sugar syrup) tastes like raisins and figs.
I'm not going to glorify it, it's still an addictive habit but in my experience a lot better than actual cigarettes.
