I'm very sensitive to long lasting scents, I just find them overwhelming. What I do is one spray on the wrist and pat it with the other, don't rub. That's usually enough to turn the really strong stuff into something almost manageable. My strongest perfume is Portrait of a Lady which is not the most powerful out there but for me one spray is enough. I usually wear stuff I have to spray on my clothes if I want to smell it after 2 hours.

Objectively false. The designers don't make the perfumes. In most cases the brand is just a trademark being licensed out. L'Oreal currently has the license for Ralph Lauren, Guy Laroche, Armani, Prada, Mugler, and YSL. Coty has the rights to the Hugo Boss perfume brand right now. Chanel is the only one that keeps things in house that I know of.

I was bad today, I wore my Fendi Uomo and then did one spray of Patchouli Cologne on my sweater. While testing Uomo in summer it was overwhelming but in winter it's barely noticeable. Any fragrances that don't smell like perfume at all? I never came across a fragrance that actually smells like something realistic no matter how dark or strange the reviews claim them to be. They all come across as perfumy or cologny.
I want to wear something that people won't realize I'm wearing an actual fragrance. Like something that smells real and less than a mix of flowers or alcohol. I don't care about smelling "nice" more than I care about smelling "interesting".

I visited a plant nursery the other day. The green houses had this crisp, ozone smell. Had a fresh smell but not like linens. Felt like my lung were getting scrubbed clean with every deep breath.
