Jeans brands still worth a shit?
Out of the mainstream brands – Levi’s, Wrangler, etc. – which one still makes good quality *reasonably priced* raw denim jeans that don’t disintegrate if you look at them wrong?

There's no such thing as quality and reasonably priced in modern western countries, because western countries have no manufacturing anymore. And the few places that do manufacture domestically charge a premium because they are like artisan shops that cater to a tiny niche demography. Everyone else buys cheap Bangladeshi/chink slop.

If you are in Europe the big 3 (Wrangler, Levis, Lee) are screwing you, making you pay $80 for something that's sold for $30 in the USA.

If I were buying jeans for longevity I'd probably look for:
> no elastane - people say it makes materials wear out quicker
> fabric weight - I guess it's more important that the fabric weight, e.g. 15oz is mentioned at all in the product desc, so you know you're not buying some paper thin dogshit
> optional details like crotch gusset or some stitching/rivet reinforcements, idk do your research

If you wear a 32 inseam maybe try one of the chink repro brands, like Red Tornado, Bronson MFG, Olderbest so you get something better for the price close to Big 3. Some of their newer models pass as 34 inseam. Remember that they shrink after washing.

Are you stalking me? This is exactly the kind of info I was looking for. Good post, thank you anon.

Some time ago I had heard that Wrangler was still somewhat decent. Guess they all went down the shitter by now.

It's actually $80 in the USA, $50 if it's on sale.

Wranglers is still great, not sure what people are talking about. I’m speaking as someone who owns like 12 pairs of jap denim too. I use my wranglers for my earthwork job and they’ve held up for a few years. It’s still really great value. If you want jap denim, the best value pair you can buy is the TCB 50s, followed by the Sugarcane 1947. All that said, I hear good things about Red Tornado and Bronson. Avoid Levi’s

I went through a similar thought process. It's rough out there and I eventually gave up and saved up to go big.

I recently purchased my first pair of raw denim, thanks to being lucky enough to have a local workshop and store nearby that makes them with imported Nihon Menpu. So I could try them on and check the fit, get them hemmed and everything.

After a 15% discount and taxes, the total cost was $400. I 100% would not have done it if it were only available online but it's a little reassuring that they have no marketing budget and I can get it repaired there.

I got it because I genuinely needed new blue jeans to be my daily driver, and the unique character of being local. They sold 1% spandex stuff too, but there is little reason to half ass it if I can get something similar at American Eagle.

I’ll tell you why you ooze out retardation waves very schematically:
1) Wranglers are cowboy LARP faggot jeans. Their aesthetic is absolutely hideous. Listen, I don’t doubt they’re “great” and durable, but as long as you’re recommending jeans to complete strangers online and not to other redneck boomers, recommending cowboy LARP shit is at the very least daring. Understand that it’s your own taste, and that cowboy jeans aren’t for everyone.
2) They’ve held up for a few years? My brother in Christ, if you own 12 pairs of jap denim even a pair of Zara jeans made in Bangladesh would hold up for the rest of your life, if that’s the number of jeans in your rotation.
3) TCB 50s and Sugarcane 1947 are both pointy butt garbage cuts. Literally only blind soifag redditors are happy of them. At least mention Momotaro or Warehouse or the American Left Field NYC, all of which make proper fitting jeans.
4)
>recommending chinese meme crap
Uncommentable.
5)
>avoid Levi’s
You’re a fucking retard. Levi’s is still the only brand in the world that fits any body. If you’re worried about their quality just buy VLC or vintage tout-court and you’re done.

>Muh cowboy LARP
Literally just get a seam ripper to remove the arcuates if you hate them. 13MWZ has the most universally best fitting top block ever. You cannot argue against this
>even a pair of Zara jeans made in Bangladesh would hold up for the rest of your life, if that’s the number of jeans in your rotation.
I said I use my wranglers for my earthwork job you mongoloid retard. Clearly you have no relative understanding of what a labor job will do to your clothes. You've proven yourself to be a limp wristed soi
>Muh pointy butt jeans
You've proven yourself once again to be a skelly limp wristed soi with zero muscle or mass. If you are getting a "pointy butt" on TCB 50s or SC47s, there is absolutely no way you aren't a skeleton
>Warehouse
I own the 1001xx. Fits me just as great as the TCBs and SCs
>Chinese crap
