In a few weeks I’m turning 30. I’m a husband and father. I’ve managed to stumble my way into becoming a manager at a respected corporate firm.

In the past I’ve worn mainly workwear of a pretty boring flavour. Dark jeans, blundstones, French chore coat, leather and work jackets, Henleys and flannels. Now all the people I meet tend to wear something like prep, or ‘old money’, but of an extremely understated, conservative flavour. Most wear clothes with no or minimal logos in muted colour palettes.

Has anyone got any advice for this specific 30-something, upper-middle-class professional look? For reference I’m going to post the sort of things I’ve seen my colleagues wear.
