It took me longer to reach 18~% bf, which is where I usually start my cut. But my progression never slowed down either. Every session my strength progressed as expected. I do think the bigger issue is that I was eating too much fat and less than ideal amount of carbs. If I were to increase my calories now I would see a slight increase in performance, because of the extra carbs, but that boost wouldn't be worth the extra fat gain. I very much doubt increasing protein is going to make any difference since it never did when I increased it for testing purposes. I'm 5'7", natty, have been training for 3+ years and I aim for 150g of protein, just so you know. I'm sure tall people and roiders need more protein than me.
