Im convinced humans weren't meant to know our weights. There has never been a time where stepping on the scale to know your weight was a good thing. The number is never what you want it to be and it does nothing but cause unnecessary dread and anxiety. Unironically the fat chicks were right. Break the scale with a hammer. Dont weight yourself.

Im losing weight. But the scale doesnt reflect that accurately. You cannot lose weight as fast as your mind thinks you can also there are thousands of factors which can affect your weight. So you can do everything right and still not lose weight.

Its better to not weigh yourself for your mental health safety, than to weigh yourself. Eat less, move more and ditch the scale. Eventually your body will change, but you dont need to track the numerical value of your weight loss everyday. That only leads to unrealistic expectations and addiction

You can lose weight without ever stepping on a scale. I dont see how stepping on the scale changes how much your diet works or not. All i said is that the scale is mentally taxing and can lead to unrealistic expectations.

Most people lose 1lb a week on average during a diet. If you check the scale everyday, youre not going to see .14lbs lost everyday. You'll see your weight fluctuate between +2 to -1lbs until 10days later when the fluctuations are now +2 to -1lbs but starting at 1lb lower than last week. Its a mental headache to keep track off and doesnt really help much

There are alternatives to tracking weight loss which might be easier for the average person. Looking at your belly fat and seeing if you got slimmer. Or even noticing your belt needs less notches. All im saying is you dont need a scale, which is objectively true.

Food wise, I eat 3 small meals a day and try not to eat snacks. I mostly eat eggs and chicken, pasta and tuna, and whatever im in the mood for for dinner. This week its boneless wings. 6 boneless wings for dinner

The number on the scale is not the only progress that matters, fixing your shitty habits that made you fat in the first place is the only solution. The number on the scale is almost just a side effect, if your goal is only to make the number on the scale go down you're doing it wrong.

You're probably drinking gatorade zero instead of water, aren't you? Typical fat logic, completely missing the point.

Alright back to being mean. You're a fat fuck-up and blaming scales for your own incompetence. You don't count calories so you have no actual concept of how much food you're eating (spoiler: it's too much and that's why you're not losing weight, moron). The longer you stay in denial about your own incompetence and lack of accountability, the longer you will be stuck in a cycle of:
>try thing
>fail
>blame all circumstances for your failure
>absolve yourself of any wrongdoing
>move on to the next thing
>fail again
In conclusion, grow the fuck up.

That's why you weigh daily in the mornin, before breakfast. Every. Single. Day. Then you plot a line through the measurements and calculate the slope. It's the only way to smoothe out fluctuations due to external factors. If you were smart enough to know all this, you wouldn't be a fat fuck whining about scales.

There was maybe one bite eaten in that picture. But here is today's chicken and egg mix and I haven't even warmed it up yet. I cook it, mix it up and take a measuring cup scoop and dish it out

Google says 1 cup is 8oz. So assuming a 50% mix thats roughly 4oz chicken and 4oz egg. So thats

200 calories worth of chicken thigh
150 calories worth of egg
Another 100 calories for cheese
And a 10% calorie increase for margin of error.
Thats roughly 500 calories. Then again, I dont care to accurately measure it, I know its not a lot of food so it MUST work. I just dont know how much it works

Its roughly the same size as my lunches. This week im eating 6 boneless wings. A drop of ranch, cheese. Im estimating maybe 800 calories.

So im roughly estimating 500 calories in the chicken and egg. 500 calories in the tuna and pasta. 800 calories for dinner. Add a good amount of margin of error and im looking at maybe 2000 calories a day.

Then again these are all estimates.

Weigh yourself at the same time and in the same clothing every time you go to weigh yourself.
I think first thing in morning after pooping is best.
It's your most accurate read, low water weight, no gut weight.
Weighing at the end of the day is weird to me, high water and high gut content seems dumb.

Sounds like you're just a coping lardass though.

nah, even at 105 I looked fat as fuck no matter how much I would run and calorie restrict. I tried to get to 99 but it was hard. my natty comfy no hunger weight is 115ish. I had to eat lots of high kcal weight gainers just to get to 140.

Weight loss is useless.
You want fat loss.

Weight loss can be anything, fat, muscle, water, bone, organ mass.

Exactly. I and too many other people get caught up in the numerical value of our weight. The mirror is more important than your weight. Yes there is some correlation but ultimately the mirror is the deciding factor. Especially when considering muscle leanness and body recomps

You will never be lean at your current bodyweight.
You MIGHT be lean at a lower body weight.
A fat person's number one priority should be losing weight. Only when your weight is at a numerical value where leanness is possible can you focus on the mirror instead of the scale.

Fixed that for you. If I lost a bunch of muscle, I technically lost weight but lost no fat. Which wouldn't solve my problem

Implying you have only one problem, lol. When you're fat, your joints can't handle the stimulus necessary to build muscle while minimizing fat loss. I know a guy who went on ozempic. He's rail thin now. He avoids the stairs because his joints are fucked.

What I'm saying is that I take solace knowing your body is permanently fucked even if you lose weight. Spinning your wheels is even funnier.

I really think your assumption is that im a 300lb land whale. I weigh 175lbs and im basically ex natty max with a bit of fat from not working out seriously in a year.

In a bit of a recomp now so my muscles are inflating and my stomach is shrinking. Only issue is that my muscles are growing faster than my stomach is shrinking so its causing my scale weight to remain the same/slightly increase.

Im not obese

nothing to do with obsession and everything to do with how you handle things
i look at the scale every morning and weigh myself
i dont care if it doesnt move
i care if it moves down. if it moves up somethings wrong and i need to change my diet. Stop subconciously viewing the scale as something is not and start viewing it as a tool.

Do it once a week.
Same day.
Same time.
If it happens you took a shit before, no problem, the difference is not important (unless you're sub 10% bf). If you feel bloated before the weighting, then do it later when you feel better. Repeat the following week.
My scale was giving the same weight for three consecutive weeks. It can happen when you lifts are very regular so you diet. I increased my cardio and then it got better.
Check your scale battery and where it sits. If the ground is not flat, that is a problem.
Thots for attention.
