The only advantage of short arms is bench press. Long arms are better for a lot of physical activities.
Striking, grappling, basketball, climbing, swimming, volleyball and others probably

Bench has always been a problem for me, yes, even though it's my favorite lift it feels like progressing on it is way harder when you have long arms

Should I actually start boxing? I'm too scared of getting the "boxer dementia" but my wingspan is pretty long compared to my body.
Now that I think about it, the few street fights I've got into always lead to me hitting my opponent first, that makes way more sense now.

I feel weird baiting you for more pics but without seeing your legs this just doesn't look that bad. This looks like a cropped pic of a tall dude.
>>76256790
This guy is right, being small with a positive ape index is great for climbing. I got a buddy with a build like that and he wins all the amateur competitions he goes to.

I'm also 5'6" with a 70" reach and I wouldn't do boxing even though I got the arms for it. Try BJJ instead. It's a better form of self defense anyway.

Even if you're just sparring you can get head injuries. My friend is a really accomplished MMA fighter and he has memory problems from a hit to the head he took while sparring, not competing.
On the other hand, if you get into street fights I would probably take up boxing. Why the fuck are you getting into street fights?

When I was younger I got into a few street fights, like highschool and elementary school in my 10-18yo's, I guess my test was too high at the time and anything made angry. I'm 27 now and chill.
