2 years ago I lost 115 lb by fasting and working out. I gave up and now I'm back up to 300 lb. I just lost my job I have some money saved so fuck it I'm doing a month-long fast. My longest water fast was 8 days and my longest dry fast was 5 days. I can do this I just need to stop being a pussy. I'm going to have to keep lying to myself and saying that I'm doing this for me so hopefully I can believe it.

Yeah but I've already proven that I can lose the weight also. Also the first time I lost it wasnt extreme dieting it was intermittent fasting and working out 5 days a week. And after learning how to lose weight I know the fastest way is to just not eat and walk a couple times a day.

Then eat at maintenance and prioritize protein.
Walk every day to burn fat >1hr.
Lift weights, mostly compounds, and put the effort in. 5 days a week.

Why do I bother, you're too far gone. 415 lb - fuck - that's 2 grown men.

Even if you get back to a normal weight you'll be unhappy because of the excess skin.

everything/nothing kind of guy. i understand that. try to min/max efficiency then. you want to build as much muscle as possible while burning as much fat as possible. that means eating at least a little bit. it may have worked before but it will be much easier and quicker if you do it right. you don't want to lose muscle.

Muscle loss when it comes to fasting is a boogeyman. There's virtually zero muscle lost. When I was doing long fast and working out I was lifting heavier.

The fact that you did something to lose weight and then ballooned back up to your previous weight or even gained a substantial amount of weight afterward at all shows that that practice does not work for you. You need to make a dietary change and lifestyle change and then live that out.
