what the hell
we were lied to?
It's not calories? It's not CICO?
>>76259984 (OP)Just exercises and dont eat like a pig. Its not that deep fatso.
>>76259984 (OP)>NHANES is the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.>energy intake stays the sameput the rate of fridgemode beaner immigration to the US and also put in the percentage of said beaners that can speak english to a standard that they would be able to participate in the NHANES survey.
>>76260003>muh correlation>muh causationput in a trend of average IQ over that same period and average height
Low IQ = low impulse control, poor long term thinking, food stupidity = obesity = infertility = eugenics
only the thin shall survive
The american dream is making addictive product to get the lower IQ masses addicted to and getting filthy rich
>>76259984 (OP)Most people have no idea how much calories is in in their food so this is undereported.
Also people walk less and the population itself is getting older, where older people tend to be more overweight just by default.
image believing studies where random idiots are asked to track calories
95% of people wont actually track, they'll just randomly eyeball shit and be way off
4% who do track will do it wrong, or leave shit out, like not tracking condiments, or not weighing certain foods for whatever reason
Its too easy to just make up a random number
You'd be lucky it 1 out of 100 people actually CICO'd properly, and knew how to do it properly, and maybe 1 in 1000 people will actually autistically track
There's a reason why im shredded and 99.999% of you aren't, its because im meticulously with calories & macros, where as you can't do it for longer than 2 days before giving up and going back to eating whatever you feel like without figuring out how many calories youre consuming
>>76260177When you're out minding your own business, CICOcultists will waddle up and accost you in the street, look you in the eye with that unhinged gaze of theirs and babble this kind of utter cope

>>76259984 (OP)>3750 calories on averageJesus Christ. Meanwhile I'm fucking dying trying to eat 3000
>>76259984 (OP)i dont start gaining weight until i hit 4500 calories a day. thats what having an autoimmune disorder and hyperthyroidism does to you.
hey theres an idea, a cure for obesity. just give them all diseases that cause their bodies to attack itself and burn insane amounts of calories in the process of destroying, repairing, destroying repairing tissues and organs indefinitely
>3750 kcals/day
Jesus Christus Maria
The memes write themselves at this point
>>76259984 (OP)>It's not calories? It's not CICO?I told you so often and you still don't want to hear it.
>>76260232Correct. I hyve HYPOthyroidism and can comfortably hold onto weight while basically starving.
CICO is bullshit, it's what you eat and not how much you eat, the ancients were right as usual. Did you know obesity was treated successfully with ad lib meat and stale bread until the 20th century?
>>76259984 (OP)>based on recall data They surveyed a bunch of people, asked what they ate, and called it data. Obese people notoriously underreport what they eat. This is consistent with the graph.
>>76259984 (OP)the graph is easy to explain.
assume you are not obese. you are, but pretend you are not for the thought experiment.
you start consuming 3750 calories each day. in the year 2000.
are you obese? no.
how about a year?
how about 3 years?
how about 18 years?
>>76260211It's not that hard smash so many calories when you realize most of it is sugary fat food. Fats are 8-9 calories per gram, but on their own you can't eat THAT much. Sugar is a pure carb so 4 calories per gram and on it's own it is also relatively hard to overeat (except maybe in form of soda. But if you combine fat and sugar (maybe add a lil sodium in as well) it becomes hyperpalatable.
For example one bar (100g) of chocolate has like 550 calories. Most people can probably demolish it in minutes and not be satiated. So if that is the kind of stuff you eat all day I'd say 3-4k calories are doable pre noon.
>>76259984 (OP)Calculating the average calorie consumption of the US population is the most retarded thing Iโve ever heard of. You canโt do it accurately to be worth a damn. And even if you could it would still be worthless because youโre not controlling for age, activity level, etc.
Ffs, how brain dead are people that they look for national metrics on obesity and calorie intake to learn about their bodies. You want to learn something OP? Eat at 1800 calories for 3 months and then 3500 calories for 3 months and track your weight. Holy shit you guys are dumb and lazy. Do your own trial.
dis nigga is full of shit
>>76259984 (OP)How are there more calories available than calories taken in?
I suspect psych meds play a part.
SERIOUSLY ARE WE FUCKED
The food we eat: poison
The water we drink: poison
The environment we live in: poison
The fucking pots and pans we cook with: poison
How did it get this bad? Semaglutide is the only fix?
>>76260455That's just the theory of palatability. Nobody is getting fat eating stale bread and meat, because you are sick of it after a bite.
>>76259984 (OP)And it's down to like 5'6.25'' in 2015-2018 measuring round.
Turns out tall people can eat more because they expend more energy.
>rocket science
>>76261090Oh and that newer number is all adults past 20, and people keep growing a bit past 18, which is what the old data was based on.
>>76259984 (OP)How many calories do these same people EXPEND now? I would bet it's dropped off a cliff.
>>76259984 (OP)>It's not CICONo. you're wrong. It IS CICO. That's an absolute physical law.
What it isn't is IIFYM. Some foods, some ways of dieting WILL lower the "CO" part for the same amount of "CI".
Telling people to count calories or "just eat less" is about as helpful as telling a heroine addict to "just stop shooting it up your arm". Your advice isn't wrong, it's terrible.
>>76261104>Some foods, some ways of dieting WILL lower the "CO" part for the same amount of "CI".Calories out, the dark matter of reddit dieticians.
>>76259984 (OP)3750 calories is a ton of calories for most people that perform little to no exercise at all (the calories out in ciCO) we become considerably lazier since the 2000.
>>76260958It literally explains it in the picture.
> National per capita energy availability is expected to be higher than energy intake owing to usual losses from food preparation and waste.
>>76259984 (OP)It is CICO though.
Part of CICO is calories out.
You can't keep eating the same amount and doing less work and be upset when you gain weight dumbass.
>>76260193it's really insane how retarded the posters here are
