That's such bullshit. You'd have to be extremely deficient or sick to diffusely lose hair and you'd notice it on your body hair aswell. The sole culprit for just hairloss on your scalp is DHT.

I did regrow a few cm at my temples and half a cm at my hairline after years on finasteride. As long as the hair's muscle hasn't been destroyed it will regrow.

We have long term data on finasteride and dutasteride now. If you're NW5 or higher in your early-mid 20s, you need high dose dutasteride just to keep your hair. Regrowth usually occurs for NW2-3s.
