>>76263950 Crawling builds muscle groups across your entire body and uses your entire body weight as ballast. Babies crawl to develop their arms, legs, core, and chest simultaneously. We would have evolved to walk from birth if this were not the case.
>>76264279 >We would have evolved to walk from birth if this were not the case. common misconception, but evolutionary changes are not an active choice! I see you've chosen to be perceived as being as weak as a literal infant.
>>76264284 You are an idiot with no understanding of evolution. Mutations which allowed for earlier walking would have easily outcompeted crawling, as infant mortality was historically easily the largest killer, and we would have walked sooner and sooner before not crawling whatsoever. However, crawling provides benefits across your body and a broader muscle profile than walking alone does so by crawling children have significantly more core and upper body strength.

>>76264293 >You are an idiot with no understanding of evolution. Mutations which allowed for earlier walking would have easily outcompeted crawling if they offered any competitive benefit to reproduction* It doesn't, because of parental caretaking behaviour You're dumber than you think, and you're also as weak as a literal infant

Idk what you fags are arguing or who is saying what but all mammals sans human can walk at birth. The only reason babies cannot is because they should still be in gestation but their heads are too fucking big to exit the vagina, and at 9 months it's already pushing the limits of what the vagina can handle. So babies come out with many bones not even properly fused (especially the head). The crawling isn't some evolutionary advantage to build muscles. It's literally the only way the baby can locomote because it should still be in fucking gestation.
You are better off just using a pullup bar to along with pushups and other calisthenics. Pushups are actually incredibly analogous to crawling, it's like just crawling but with more and proper resistance.
I really can't tell whether this is all a joke or not. But pushups and pullups will activate all those evolutionary muscles that may be underused in today's world.

>>76263793 (OP) I would like to crawl, seems fun. But I don't want people around to die of cringe, so I won't crawl unless they find out t's the equivalent of taking roids without the side effects
