Why is it so common to overcomplicate health/fitness stuff. Why does it seem like so much of it also contradicts others seemingly credible advice?
Like if I follow what I saw on social media just today I should be doing hand/wrist exercises daily for 10 minutes or I will develop arthritis type symptoms. Oh and I need to be drinking a lemon+ginger root blended smoothie in the morning on an empty stomach to flush out toxins in my kidneys. Oh and you must do dead hangs daily for my back health. Definitely take fish oils for inflammation/eye, skin, nail health. No wait don't take that it's actually rancid. Hey just eat 3 sardines a day. Make sure to take 10000IU of vitamin D daily. No wait only take 4000IUs daily if you take 10000IU you'll develop issues... so on and so on forever and ever.
The next day there'd be another laundry list of things I need to do daily to be in optimal health. All stuff from -supposedly- MDs,DOs, PhD medical professionals.
If I were to keep up with everything i'm told needs to be done daily/weekly my entire schedule for the day would be filled with hours of random exercises like crawling on the ground, flexing my wrists, flossing my nerves in the arms, dead hanging, neck flexion exercises..... on and on and on. I'd be drinking like 6 different smoothies every morning..... on and on and on.
