The muscle groups which define your overall frame (lats, shoulders, chest, upper legs) are way more important to the size and aesthetics of your body than abs. You should obviously still train your abs and not just rely on compounds, but they don't deserve the pedestal zoomers have placed them on. The leanpill dyels who jerk off over "visible abs" are clearly untrained teenagers who think they're going to get ripped by cutting until they can see their flacid abdominal muscles. Any muscle can be made visible if your bodyfat is low enough, it's not a hallmark of quality training, aesthetics, or strength.
