Actually Alzheimer's is on that list because people aren't dying to the other shit because we've gotten better at treating them. Obese fuckers usually die well before Alzheimer's would get them anyhow.
And depression is arguably more due to physical inactivity, though that kind of tracks with obesity as well.

Alzheimers is a prion disease. Prions are self replicating when they come into contact with other proteins and they take centuries to break down. It only makes sense that the environment would gradually become filled with more and more prions. I bet you there's even prions in your local municipal tapwater. It's not like they have a prion filter at the water treatment plant. And they're not heating it to 1000+ degrees which is what it takes to destroy a prion. Alot of plants can even uptake prions from the soil too.

Inflammation is carcinogenic, especially when it's powerful and uncontrolled.
Even the regular flu is carcinogenic, but unless you are already at risk it's not worth writing about it.
The initial forms of COVID were extremely inflammatory, the vaccine was too, just with a shorter duration

10% of deer in Wisconsin have wasting disease (prions.) In some counties 60% of deer have it. They're not going around eating brains. It's in the soil, plants and water. Luckily for humans it takes 40-60 years until your brain is totally destroyed. Probably everyone here will die from some type of prion disease if you live long enough and heart failure or cancer doesn't get you first.

There's no way prions are new. There must be biological mechanisms such as enzymes which break them down (even if only in obligate carnivores like wolves & cats) which are being blocked somehow.

Maybe counties with prion deer don't have wolves or cougars?

Alzheimers involves misfolding proteins but not prions specifically. It's a prion-like disease.

They're also necessary for long-term memory, so ymmv. Just eat a low calorie diet so autophagy takes care of them and you will likely never get CJD, unless you're a cannibal.

prions aren't new.
the problem is we've taken away the natural system by which prions are eradicated.

prions don't magically activate every time you eat them.
they have a probability and that probability is now higher because of lack of diversity in the food chain.

>better screening.
I'd say it's also being more eager to diagnose something, ESPECIALLY autism. Ever since the late 90s, doctors have been slapping every kid with any developmental delay as "autistic" because lazy-ass parents want the diagnosis as an excuse why little Johnny isn't doing as well as his peers in any given way. It couldn't *possibly* be shitty parenting. Or that he's a late bloomer. Or that some people are just gonna be on the left of the bell curve. Plus it's an excuse to diagnose some good expensive pills, YAY PFIZER!
