I'm muscular but I still have a gut like picrel. My upper body looks pretty good. Do I really have to hard cut just to get rid of it? So annoying, always had it since I was like 9

You might have gotten unlucky with where your body stores fat, but yes, you need to reduce your bodyfat percentage to look better. You can reduce calories, you can increase caloric burn, or you can do both. Maybe add cardio.

You probably don't have a balanced physique, meaning your workouts are missing something. Post body for more specific advice.

Some of that increase in your bench will be stronger muscle, but some of it will be neural. Your brain learns how to recruit more muscle fibres when performing a lift, how to fire your neurons more efficiently, and so on. In other words, some of that progress won't be reflected visually. Hypertrophy training will probably give you the results you're looking for, although if you're relatively new to lifting you can pretty much do anything and as long as your diet and sleep are also good and consistent, you'll start to see visual progress.

It doesnt matter because you'll never put in the work. If you really wanted it, you'd already be lifting and not worried about some arbitrary timeline.
If someone does tell you a timeframe you find acceptable, you'll go the gym then quit in a few months when you see no progress and then go back to making "how to achieve" threads with a pic of Gooky the anime character waiting for someone to "redpill" you on how to get jacked without doing anything. loser

Isn't it interesting that some people are just born to naturally have a slim toned body while others are cursed to spend their entire lives working off predisposed fat.

Nope. There's arguments to be made about muscle insertions and fat distribution, but throw everyone in a deserted island for a year and they'll all come out lean

i was doing super low reps for a few months and got to 225 bench right after 205, i also never do ohp because its like 1rm 135 and honestly i think my rows pullups and bench have not been hitting delts as much as id hope. its purely tendon strength because the weight moves but it feels much heavier than 1rming 185 around 8mo before.

Yeah the progress came from doing like 2-3 sets of bench at the beginning and 3rd lift 3x/wk average, ~2-4rms back/biceps/rear delts then 3 sets of 4-8 bench.

i thought id see size so im thinking bodybuilding wise ill just keep the powerlifting as it does something, and add like 3-5 sets of lower rest hypertrophy/failure training(i actually have to roll off quite often because i blew through a pr lately and was probably not lifting heavy enough).

two people can have the same exact diet.
One can become fat from it, the other cannot.
Its just genetics. Saying otherwise is fat cope.

Bare minimum, pan fried meat and vegetables ONLY + pushups. You'll recomp into a presentable human in no time.
