The only real "rule" and even I barely follow it is space your cardio away from your lifting, there is some interference if you do them together or back to back but its not crazy major.
Recognize this, the vast majority of spec ops training is stamina and endurance, you need to frame gains differently , there is nothing to lose in building a cardio engine for yourself. Even just once in your life, its very tough to completely lose if you had a cardio phase
